Portraits by JP Harrow
The Story of JP Harrow Portraits
From Finland to London via Los Angeles.
The body of work you see on this website has more than 15 years of practice and study behind it. I grew up in a small village in Finland with a dream to one day be a filmmaker and photographer. Considering where I come from these two dreams were considered to be unrealistic career choices, especially the first one. While my school grades were merely average level and I barely even passed my English courses, today I have proven that persistence is the key to your dreams. Since graduating from high school I have spent more than seven years abroad including London and Los Angeles honing my photography skills and gained mentoring from some of the best people in the industry.
Just like most photographers, I have covered almost every photography genre consists from the event photography to weddings. However, over the years one genre began to stand out from the rest and that was my portraiture work of men. If I had to list one superpower I have, I would say that is the ability to make men look stunning in photographs.
Defining Portraiture for Men
Bespoke service and product range for all men.
At JP Harrow Portraits we strongly believe that more men should exist in professionally done portraits. While there have always been photographers specialising in male portraits, most of these photographers focus primarily on fitness photography or commercial work. So when men like us view their websites we start to feel bit discouraged. All you see are stunning images of men who are in great shape and you start to feel “I could never be photographed like that.“
This is where we at JP Harrow Portraits want to start a revolution. We want to prove that all men – no matter their age or size – can look great in portraits. Our whole service and product range has been curated for men and its one of it’s kind in London. So why not let us show how good you can look in professionally shot portraits? Remember time is always racing by and the best time to have your photographs taken is today, not tomorrow or next month or next year.
